the lake, part I

Have you ever been to Lake Geneva?

It's just across the Wisconsin border; in the summer, it's packed to the gills with vacationing families, boats, RVs, jet skis, and eager shoppers, ready to take the antique stores by storm.

But in the winter? The town breathes again. Things are quiet. Peaceful. Life moves slower.

i used to go every summer. summer evenings cruisin' the strip in my mom's convertible—to get ice cream from Annie's. nothing like it. great memories.
