full disclosure...

In an effort to bring a bit of honesty to the table...

This is how I would like to feel, 24/7...

But THIS is reality:

This is how my baby boy goes to sleep, every night around 10:30...

But THIS is what he looks like for the 2 hours before he crashes for the night:

And finally, this is what my dining room table looks like, thanks to taxes {yuck}:

Honesty is always the best policy :)

Aw, you and the kiddo are soo cute, no matter what faces you are wearing, lol. :)

Thx for the honesty, I totally love it.

That top picture is the greatest picture I've ever seen! :)I love it! I love you and your sweet baby! Once Charlie realizes he's got some of the bestest parents in the world, he'll calm down (or I can bribe him for you?);)

I LOVE those pictures! You are all such an adorable family!

I'd like to say that it gets easier, but it just gets different. But rather than leave you with that dreadful feeling that it doesn't get better, know that there is hope. Try to enjoy even the crabby and crying moments. Realize that even Jesus cried as a baby. He could no more communicate His needs to Mary and Joseph than Charlie can to you. Consider the pressure Mary must have felt, knowing that her son was God's son. Could she have felt inadequate at times and like she was ruining Him? What about when she lost Him and He was in the temple?

God's Word is a great parenting book. In James we are reminded that if we don't know something and really seek the answer, pray and ask and seek the answer through God and He will answer! I encourage you to pray about Charlie's evening needs and for God to tell you exactly how to meet those needs. I will be praying this for you, too.

(I'm sure you are meeting his needs and am not implying that he's being neglected! However, if there is something different that would be more helpful for Charlie, well, that's what I'm praying God lets you know about.)
